Yellow Grid brings smart water heating control to hotels, apartments, guesthouses, holiday properties and accommodation facilities with multiple independent electric boilers.

The system automatically optimises the operation of individual boilers based on room occupancy and current electricity prices. Water is heated only in rooms that are actually in use, significantly reducing unnecessary energy losses and operating costs.

The solution can be integrated with hotel or reservation systems, allowing Yellow Grid to automatically identify which rooms are occupied and when hot water needs to be prepared for guests.

If the property uses dynamic or spot electricity pricing, the system can additionally shift water heating to the most cost-effective periods during the day. The control system operates with 15-minute intervals and automatically selects the cheapest times for water heating.

The solution takes into account:

• room occupancy,

• current electricity prices,

• distribution tariffs,

• historical hot water consumption,

• the current water temperature in each boiler.

Estimated savings on water heating costs typically range between 30–60%, depending on the type of property and its operating model.

Each boiler is equipped with its own Yellow Grid unit communicating via Wi-Fi or Ethernet. An LTE version with a prepaid SIM card is also available.

Installation is fast, simple and does not require extensive modifications to the existing electrical installation. The entire system can be conveniently managed remotely via a web application or mobile phone.
